8. Gone with a Bang
In February 2014, Hrithik resumed shooting for Bang Bang with Katrina Kaif and absolutely ignored Kangana. Meanwhile, Hrithik-Katrina rumors flared. The Valentine’s day phone call was about anything but love. She asked him to come clear and he demanded to know if she spilled the beans about the relationship to anyone. Kangana told him that her family knew. He took a 360-degree turn and told her that she took it all wrong.
This was enough for Kangana to pack her bags and prepare to walk away. She knew this could be a rebound for Hrithik and hadn’t pinned all hopes on him. She knew if things continue like they were, she will have to move on.
9. And then Queen happened
March 2014 saw a new Kangana Ranaut. Everyone was gaga over her performance in Queen. Love poured from all directions, Bollywood and fans alike. How could Hrithik be far away. Now that she had ‘arrived’, Hrithik Roshan was back in the picture. He contacted her and asked if she would take him back. He pleaded to make things work again.
Interestingly, there are talks of a “young superstar” who met Kangana at an award function and thereafter was full-on flirting with her. Mr. Roshan demanded to know about this as he felt out of his game. Kangana assured him that everything is okay and that there was nothing to be insecure about.
