7. Pirate: The movie
In 2006, Priyadarshan planned on making a movie on Music piracy. Deepika was to play a crucial part as the member of a rock band, and she was to share the screen with Abhishek Bachchan. No points on guessing that this was supposed to be a comedy movie. It didn’t work out and Pirate didn’t take off, delaying Deepika’s debut.
8. The Actual debut
See, we told you this is hell confusing. Deepika Padukone’s actual screen debut was the 2006 Kannada movie Aishwarya where she played the role of the leading lady.
